Collider talked to actress Anna Kendrick recently about her role as Stacey Pilgrim in Edgar Wright‘s Scott Pilgrim vs. The World set to be released sometime next year. Check out her quote below:
I imagine I’ve seen a similar amount, probably 30 [minutes]… You should start emotionally preparing yourself now. It’s so good, people are not going to know what hit them. I have a small role in so I’m allowed to gush. It’s so cool. I’ve never seen anything like it. There’s an energy and a style that I’ve just never seen before and I think it’s going to make the fastest movie you’ve seen look like a Merchant Ivory film. There, I said it.
Another actor stunned by the unique vision Wright is doing to the story. This makes three people who have announced their feelings toward the project. the other two include Jason Reitman and Jason Shwartzman.
Do you think this is too much hype for a (so far) low key movie? Are people putting expectations too hig?
