That is Naked as in This American Life frequenter and all-around masterful story-teller David Sedaris’ Naked. And I am as excited as you are.
The project is being taken up by Kyle Patrick Alvarez (Easier With Practice) [GATW]. After Me Talk Pretty One Day nearly made it to production, Sedaris himself reportedly said that this project is underway. Alvarez confirmed the rumor. The issue has seemingly been Sedaris‘ concern with how his family will be portrayed, but apparently he approves of Alvarez’s work and trusts him.
Alvarez will adapt the short story from Naked called C.O.G. The story goes something like this:
A description of Sedaris’ job cutting stone into clocks in the shape of Oregon. He teams up with a co-worker who describes himself as a “C.O.G.” (Child of God), and the two try to sell their stones at local craft fairs.
I haven’t read that particular one yet, but as soon as I get home I intend to.
