No, this is not a superhero flick or a major summer blockbuster, but even Alexander Payne needs a villain for his next film. As production starts in the middle of month, the final casting is coming into place for his follow-up to the The Descendants, the black-and-white drama Nebraska. While we reported that a handful of speaking parts had yet to be filled — many from locals — the major cast has come together with Bruce Dern, Will Forte,  Bob Odenkirk and Stacy Keach, but now THR reports another addition.

Coming a long way from his Home Alone days, Devin Ratray has signed on in the villain  role of the film, which is a twin son of Keach’s character. The drama follows Dern as a a curmudgeonly old drunk who believes he’s won a million dollars from a sweepstakes and drags his son (Forte) on a roadtrip to collect the prize. As for Ratray, he’ll be seen alongside Ryan Reynolds in next summer’s R.I.P.D, and when it comes to casting Payne, is usually spot-on so we’re excited to see the actor join his next project.

The $13 million productions kicks off on October 15th, for a likely 2013 release.
