Madeleine L’Engle‘s classic and award-winning sci-fi book A Wrinkle In Time courtesy of Bedrock Studios and producer Cary Granat [THR]. The book, published in 1962, is about time-traveling teenagers seeking to save their father with some clever characters along the way.
Granat‘s previous company Walden Media had a knack for adapting books we all read in our youth, in the vein of Bridge To Terabithia and of course The Chronicles of Narnia series. He has brought on Jeff Stockwell who co-wrote Bridge to Terabithia to adapt the screenplay.
Disney has their hand in this production as well, thanks to an ABC television adaptation of the story in 2004. Catherine Hand will also produce.
