As promised just a few moments ago, the red band trailer for Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer‘s next comedy has arrived. 30 Minutes or Less is from the Black List script by Michael Diliberti and Matthew Sullivan and stars our Oscar-nominated The Social Network lead Jesse Eisenberg, as well as Danny McBride, Aziz Ansari, Nick Swardson and Michael Peña.
The red band trailer below is from IGN and I think it looks hilarious. Ansari has been one of my favorite elements of Parks & Recreation and the pairing with a fantastic actor like Eisenberg is genius. Add in McBride, and this is one of my most-anticipated films this summer. Don’t expect comedy from Fleischer for too long as he is signed to direct Gangster Squad with Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling and Josh Brolin next. See the trailer below.
Synopsis: In the action-comedy “30 Minutes or Less,” Nick (Jesse Eisenberg) is a small town pizza delivery guy whose mundane life collides with the big plans of two wanna-be criminal masterminds (Danny McBride and Nick Swardson). The volatile duo kidnaps Nick and forces him to rob a bank. With mere hours to pull off the impossible task, Nick enlists the help of his ex-best friend, Chet (Aziz Ansari). As the clock ticks, the two must deal with the police, hired assassins, flamethrowers, and their own tumultuous relationship.
30 Minutes or Less hits theaters August 12th.
