Matthew Greenberg (1408, Reign of Fire) has been brought in to write the remake of the Stephen King adaptation Pet Semetary [/Film]. Paramount Pictures is leading the charge on the remake with producer Lorenzo di Boneventura heading the project. No director has been named yet.
The book, that was the published in 1983, was adapted into the movie of the same name in 1987. If you haven’t seen the original or read the book, it is a typical haunted-house story, only centered around the family cat, and was quite alarming to my six-year-old self. I’m dubious about the remake however, as I am not sure what else can be done with it.
Is this one best left alone? Where do we draw the line?
